...from that wonderful day...

 happened
 upon... 

my first Stone Meadow Farm Event

This beautiful reminder also came home with me that day.

They've been a part of my screen porch for a few years now....

The first 

"Touches of Annie" 

to grace my home.

Since then

just about every room in my house

has obtained something 

that reminds me of Annie...

...in the house

in the garage...

...in the pool house
the garden shed...

...and in the yard.

This weekend i helped her husband and best friend

organize a sale of the leftover inventory

from her fabulous stores and events.

It.was.Bitter.Sweet.

...being surrounded by all her fabulous finds...

but

 not

 being

 able

 to hear her infectious laugh...

...touching things that triggered sweet memories...

"remember that road trip when we bought these"...."remember how she couldn't resist this..."

..."Annie always gasped when she spotted these"...

A few more of Annie's treasures 

have come to make their home on my screen porch...

{i carefully chose items i knew were dear to Annie} 

Perfectly patinaed column caps

...waiting for cloches

...a collection of creamy vintage twine...

...worn and tattered books...

...a wavy old mirror now sits behind the stone birds...

And of course...The Sweet Smell of Lavender...

...ALWAYS an Annie touch.

So many friends and customers...
{admirers, really}
came by
hoping to purchase
 just
one
more
"Touch of Annie"

They had stories to tell...memories to share...
and even some tears were shed...
...they all miss her so.

Thank you, all of you, for your over-the-top response....
I hope you're treasuring your

NaDa Farm & other weekend fun...

Went to the Na-Da Farm event this weekend....

...Nabbed an awesome piece of architecture from Chippy Shabby...

..first thing!

nothing lasts very long....she always brings the bEsT pieces

Mark & Tracey's space was a 'feast' for the eyes

It was a beautiful evening....tho a bit windy for the outdoor vendors

The WebMaster had a 'gig' in West Chicago

at the Blooming Fest

LoVE it when he plays festivals...

because where there's a festival....there's shopping!
so that's what i did....

bought a headband from
Clare and Amy

And...
 i bought some Vintage Glass garden art
from Julie--"Glass From The Past"

my 'flower' stake looks so pretty in the garden

As i was working on this post
the tornado sirens started going off.
aaaagh!
...we dodged another bullet here in the midwest...
What's with all these tornados?!
